Who Naoko Thunder-Star is, is a matter of opinion. To some, she is a charming and dashing rogue, providing a needed “service” to those less fortunate who dwell in the slums. Provided they have they can pay for those services. To others, she is a nuisance and a pest, interfering with the progress of the General's ordered society. Whatever your opinion, Naoko is a clever girl. As wily as she is brazen, Naoko has no sacred cows and seems to get a kick out of defying the Military.

Naoko has a cavalier attitude, to put it mildly. She often speaks her mind and will let you know exactly what she thinks. She is a defiant person, who has not let her life in the slums limit her. Being the ambitious sort that she is, Naoko also isn't afraid to do what needs to be done to secure herself. Her life as a smuggler is not an easy one and has ruffled a few feathers. So, she is cautious in some respects. More so than one might think, from how she usually acts. When she wants to be...Naoko can be very hard to find.

For a smuggler, she can act pretty reckless. Usually, she is found out and about, socializing among the seedier sections of the slums. And usually chasing after pretty girls. To most people, she will turn on the charm and talk your ear off. To the military, she is often much cagier. Sometimes, she's downright rude. But, that depends on how she's treated. After all...her “shop” is always open to anyone who wants to pay...and even the Military needs some “supplemental equipment”.

Life in the slums is not an easy one. Under the rule of General Harper, things have not been any easier. But, there is a saying: “Nature abhors a vaccume”. And with tight rationing, there comes a demand for people who can “acquire” things. And for one lowly orphan, this was how she would make her mark on the Dome.

Naoko Thunder-Star was one of many children who had grown up on the streets. Having fallen through the cracks, she spent a lot of time exploring her neighborhood and getting into all sorts of trouble. But, the most useful thing she ever learned was what was UNDER the Dome. The tunnels underground were very fun to explore. And when she stumbled across a pair of smugglers, she found a new family. Naoko studied under the two and learned the ins and outs of the business. They were happy to have an extra set of hands, especially belonging to someone who knew the tunnels as well as Naoko did.

When she turned 18, Naoko took over operations. Her mentors left the confines of the Dome, to work with the Seahawks. Ensuring that she would have an existing contact within that group, the transition was rather seamless. Soon, it became known who to talk to, in case the rations fell short of what you were expecting.
